“We believe this project has the potential to become a timeless drama with a universal appeal – it is about life and the pursuit of happiness.” “Øystein Karlsen has shown in his previous projects that he can create original dramas that are both exciting and emotional, said Marianne Furevold-Boland, Head of Drama, NRK. “It feels like the way the world is right now, a series that celebrates life and love, with a core about finding your way in life, is needed more than ever,” said Øystein Karlsen, series creator, Redpoint Productions. SO LONG, MARIANNE is a beautiful, poetic, and searing tribute to life, shedding light on the events that inspired one of the most iconic songs of many generations. There, they joined legendary Australian novelists Charmian Clift and her husband George Johnston, the matriarch and patriarch of a bohemian group of writers, artists, poets and outcasts who were exploring a new world of free love, drugs, and artistic freedom, but also experiencing the rivalries and jealousy that accompanied their intense, interwoven lives. Their story crosses the world, travelling from Oslo to Hydra New York and Montreal, with the majority of the series set on the picturesque Greek island of Hydra where they lived during the 1960s. Set in some of the most beautiful places during the 1960s, SO LONG, MARIANNE is an intimate tale of two, lonely people falling in love, during a period of their life when they are trying to figure out who they are and their place in the world, while one is becoming one of the most famous singers of all time. Principal photography began on March 24, for the series, which is shooting in multiple locations including the Greek island of Hydra, Oslo in Norway, and Montréal in Canada. Joining them are Anna Torv ( The Newsreader, The Last of Us, Mindhunter) as Charmian Clift and Noah Taylor ( Preacher, Peaky Blinders, Game of Thrones) as George Johnston. Leading the cast are Alex Wolff ( The Line, Hereditary, Jumanji) as Leonard, with Thea Sofie Loch Næss ( The Last Kingdom, Delete Me, A Storm For Christmas) playing Marianne. She's also rather youthful due to, again, sadly passing away at such a young age.Key Tags: (TORONTO) Ap– Crave and NRK announced today the primary cast of their hotly-anticipated, Original series SO LONG, MARIANNE, which tells the legendary love story of Canadian singer and poet Leonard Cohen, and his muse Marianne Ihlen. She could totally pass as an older sister for Noah. She has notable physical differences but the similarities in her face and certain articles of clothing should show the resemblance. She does look like an older version of Noah, which is definitely intentional. This is why I say she's a major character despite participating very little in the plot- it's Noah's mom! She's been mentioned in passing, but now we get to see what she looks like. This left Owen heartbroken, and Noah without ever being able to meet her mom. Natalie ended up passing away shortly after giving birth to Noah, at the young age of 27. Nat wanted to call the baby "Noah" since it would work as a name for either gender, and she wanted to teach her child how to play the piano since it could be a difficult instrument to learn, but she never got this chance. Nat is known for being a tough and rough girl, hence why she did the rodeo thing for so long, but Owen brought out the softer side in her, to the point that she was more than excited to start a family with him. that is until she one day met the man of her dreams. Despite how much she enjoys the guitar, the piano is her favorite instrument. Nat and Owen struck a chord thanks to their love of music and romance soon blossomed after that. Owen's an aspiring traveling musician and, much like Nat, a drifter who was looking for a place to make some easy bucks. She was going to continue with her career as a rodeo star until she met the man that would be her future husband, Owen. Nat, and her brother Nate, came from a long family of rodeo entertainers and was the oldest sibling. Meet Natalie "Nat" Phoenix, a possum cowgirl from the Sunset Valley. She's one of those characters that has a minor role but her impact on the plot far outweighs her prominence considering that she's one of the parents of the protagonist of Project Timeless. She has colors now, a different hairstyle, her clothes changed slightly, AND a brand new surname. Her pose is similar to her previous one, but now she came with a couple of props. UPDATE (): Natalie got fixed up quite a bit.
