No one is that happy shopping at Walmart on a regular day in April, let alone Black Friday. Quit trying to be hip, Walmart, and don't lie to us. I checked her out and realized that the stupid song I've been hearing on the Grubhub commercial (I do my head - apparently it's "hair" but it sounds like head - toss / check my nails) is by Lizzo. I actually only heard of her for the first time a couple of months ago because someone on my FB feed mentioned her. I absolutely do not understand how Lizzo is becoming so famous. Show the hundreds of people forming mobs, pushing people out of the way to grab items on their list, someone snatching that Legos set out of that woman's cart because she got the last one on the shelf, employees somehow looking both panicked and dead inside.Īnd the song. Don't show us 6 (SIX!) customers dancing around in an otherwise empty store, doing choreographed routines with their shopping carts, the employees all smiles and doing their own dancing while pushing around merchandise, a woman having landed a really decently priced Legos set. It's completely ridiculous because it's a Black Friday commercial.
